Leanne Faulkner

Leanne Faulkner In 2004 Leanne founded her own small business, Billie Goat Soap. Leanne grew Billie Goat from a kitchen based hobby and today Billie Goat Soap is sold in over 2000 stores around the country, including Myer, David Jones, Terry White Pharmacies, Babies R Us and Priceline. Billie Goat Soap was awarded the prestigious NSW Business Chamber’s President’s Prize for business of the year in 2010, and was the Myer Supplier of the Year (General Cosmetics) in the same year. Billie Goat Soap was sold in 2012, and today Leanne advocates for the development of mental health resources specifically designed to support small business owners. She was awarded the Council of Small Business of Australia (COSBOA) Business Champion Award for 2015 in recognition of the work she has done in the small business sector to raise awareness of mental health issues and resources needed. She was the Project Coordinator of the Heads Up For Small Business mental health initiative working with both beyondblue and COSBOA. Her website, Fortitude at Work has been named in the Smart Company Top 20 business blogs for the second year in a row, and Fairfax newspapers identified her as one of the top nine female influential entrepreneurs in 2016 for her work in the small business/mental health sector.
